Our Ward Mission Leader loves motorcycles - his wife does not. They had us over for dinner one night in June and we started talking about how Phil and I met. Of course, the old "motorcycle story" came out. One of our non-date dates was when I had my brother Larry's 750 Honda motorcycle. I decided to go out and pick Phil up and take him for a ride. I called and he was waiting outside for me. I saw the curtains in the living room move and noticed someone was watching us. We took off for a short ride. Later, I asked him who was behind the curtain. He said it was his mother; that when I pulled up on the bike, she was mortified and wanted to know "who that girl was". Not too good an impression to make on my future mother-in-law. She thought he would wind up with a petite little Idaho girl of her choosing. Anyway, as we were talking, Bro. Bliss decided it would be fun to take a picture of us on his bike. Can't do that in Sister Missionary attire, so I just donned his leather jacket and we leaned against the bike. His daughter is serving in the Farmington, NM Mission and he wanted her to see there were women who like bikes.
